HELLO FIRST OF ALL I AM VERY HAPPY TO BE ALIVE TODAY. I WAS DIAGNOISE WITH CANCER MARCH 2011. I WENT THRU KIMO AND RADIATION UNTIL JUNE 2011 NOW I AM IN REMISION. DURING THIS SCARE OF MY LIFE MY HUSBAND LEFT ME AND MY ONE YEAR OLD FOR ANOTHER WOMAN  AND HER TWO CHILDREN. HE PAID ALL THE BILLS WHEN HE LIVED HERE AND WHEN THIS HAPPENED I WASN'T ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH THE BILLS AND HE WOULDN'T EVEN HELP.  MY MORGAGE IS BEHIND 7 MONTHS NOW AND I NEED HELP. I ACTUALLY GOT A JOB OCTOBER 26, 2011 PART TIME SEASONAL HELP BUT THATS HELPING ME GET PERSONALS, GARBAGE PAID WATER PAID, GAS FOR OUR CAR, AND THINGS FOR MY BABY. YES THEY GAVE ME LINK FOOD STAMPS FOR FOOD BUT THAT IS TO FEED US I NEED HELP WITH MORGAGE AND UTILITYS. IF ANYONE WILL HELP ME PLEASE LET ME KNOW SO I DON'T GET KICKED OUT MY HOUSE. SOMEONE TOLD ME TO PUT MY HOUSE ON THE MARKET SO IT WILL STALL THEM FOR KICKEN US OUT OF OUR HOUSE UNTIL I AM ABLE TO GET HELP OR A FULL TIME JOB THAT WILL GET ME CAUGHT  BACK UP TO DATE BUT THAT IS SCARING ME BECAUSE THEY STILL CAN KICK US OUT ANY DAY NOW AND WE HAVE KNOW WERE TO GO. PLEASE ANYONE WHO CAN HELP US PLEASE LET ME KNOW 

I don't usually do this kind of thing, but I don't know what else to do. I have been out of work since March due to a spinal cord herniation. It all started with a migraine headache that landed me in the hospital. The doctors were concerned I was having a stroke. It took a long time to finally figure out what was going on. It was a very presistant neurologist that solved the puzzle of my daily headaches, dizziness and right sided weakness. I am now awaiting another test and then surgery. Once the surgery is done I should be good as new. My poor husband has been killing himself trying to make ends meet. We have sold just about everything we own in order to keep our home. We don't spend on things we don't need, but the bills are piling up. Our house payment is overdue as well as the other utilities. I have not gotten any disability pay the entire time I have been off. I'm working on that, but that is a long story. Once that payment comes in we will be okay until I get back to work. We just need a little help making ends meet in the meantime. Coming on here and asking for help has been one of the hardest things I have ever done.

   I do not want to bore anyone with dramatic details of my situation. Instead, I will be as simple and as honest as possible. I am 31 and a single mother. My daughter is 8 years old. Her dad has not payed support since she was 3. I have gone back to school twice since then, once for my associate degree in science, and now for my BSN. I have ONE semester left. Two classes! That is all. However, I have used the maximum allowance for my student loans, and my grants do not amount to much since I also work every minute that I can. This makes my income go up, which makes my eligibility go down. I have applied to every scholarship possible, online and in the community. I have no family able to help me, and I have no credit left to use.  It seems that there are scholarships for everything, except for me. I see scholarships for every race, culture, disability, etc. How about a middle class, single, caucasian woman who has worked everyday of her life to provide for her only child? Why is that too much to ask?

            I just found today I owe my bank $397.06. That is not the worst of it though, my vehicle is non-compliant registration,title,and lisence wise. As of last Friday July 30, 2010 I owe the State of Texas $288.55(interest and acrue). With other bills and utilities piling up my not to mention food and other needs my grand total is closer to $2,800.00. Oh by the way I am also unemployed and looking for work. My first unemployment is scheduled to arrive in my bank tomorrow(I never a dime of it because I owe the bank). I could sure money via a ministry or a grant. Thank you for reading this post. Hello America,my name is Yvette mom of two a boy 7 and a girl 6 and i am happily married living in new jersey. My husband as of last january was laid off from his job that he had for 13 years...He has been looking for work but to no avail...I work but don't make as much as he did...So we do the best that we can to care for our kids finiacial,pay bills and rent....To keep my husband from being so depressed he became a volunter coach for our pop warner football league in our area and i became team mom...To make a long story short,we feel in love with a kid on our team that at 8 has had one hard life,his mom is a crackhead he doest have a dad now he lives with a friend of the mom and that man never worked a day in his life and the man's girlfriend that we all can tell that doesnt take care of him,he always dirty,he is always hunrgey,strange spots on his arms that look like bedbug bites,on cold days he comes to practice witha tank top and shorts and ankle socks,neither guardian stays with him to watch him practice and they dont even support him on game day.ican go on and on about this poor child neglect. my family would like to help him and take him in but i live in a two bedroom apartment...I would need a three bedroom to be able to be considered as a foster mom,I already asked what I needed to do to take him in...I pass everything but the housing,I was hoping that there was someone out there that could assist me in getting some type of grant or to assist us in paying the rent for a three bedroom house or apartment so i can become a foster mom to a dear boy that needs help,guidance and love...Please is there anyone out there willing to help me just at least until my husband gets back on his feet. It is time to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and start making the steps to change our situation! Yes, we have been dealt a hand that has turned many of our lives upside down. However, we are still here. As long as we are here in the land of the living, we have a fighting chance to see better days. Depending on your situation, it's going to be far from easy. But we can't give up! No matter how long it takes, as long as there is breath in our bodies we have to keep fighting. A real failure fails because they stop trying, otherwise it only setbacks and stumbling blocks we overcome to win.

For anything to live it must die. A flower blooms more beautiful each year because of the winters it has to go through. Many of us are in our winter moments right now. Well, it's spring time people! Many of us has overcome great odds already. Either through illness or injury we have had to relearned how to live again. That is not an easy thing to do, I know. It has been two years for me and my mind still keep going back to the way it used to be and I have to remember I can't do it like that anymore. I have to pace myself, and learn to appreciate the small tasks I complete instead of dwelling on the whole task that is still undone.

Give God thanks for the things we can do. I used to get overwhelmed by all my uncompleted tasks, but I started making a list of everything I needed to do for that day and checking off the tasks I could complete. This allowed me to see I was accomplishing something.

My husband and I are in real trouble. We owe several months' payments on our mortgage. We are months behind with our utilities. Our gas has been shut off, and our phone and electricity are soon to follow. We are currently trying to pay the D.A. for some outstanding 'bogus' checks so we can stay out of jail. And we owe fees and late charges on two mail order companies, two credit card balances, and two personal loans. On top of all that, trying to keep up with all these payments on our relatively fixed incomes has us overdrawn with our bank account more often than not...and having to pay the overdraft fees, which eat away what money we DO have. The harder we try to catch up, the further behind we get and the more money we owe. And I do happen to be confined to a wheelchair, so I can't do a whole lot of running around the city to try to find relief organizations. What we need is enough grant money to get caught up on all our bills so we don't have to fight so hard to make ends meet.

There are many groups now offering help to low income households now.  I went to the social services in my area and was told that $520 a month for income was too much to qualify for assistance from them.  Well I called my utility companies and explained my situation and they refered me to groups in my area that offer assistance with your bills.  I am on an Energy Assistance program right now where they give me a GRANT amount according to my income and they pay my utility company directly.  I receive a monthly discount on my home phone also which I got just by calling my phone company.  I also receive a GRANT from a group called Energy Cents that helps with my electric bill beyond my Energy Assistance GRANT.  Even with all the grants I am still struggling but its a huge help!  I am posting this to give people hope that the GRANTS are out there!!!  You have to be diligent and not give up.  Ask the UTILITY COMPANIES, ASK SOCIAL SERVICES because sometimes if you dont qualify for government assistance they know of agencies that can help. 

HUD offers rent assistance to people also and you'd be surprised by the income limits on ALL these programs.  Some have limits that you cant make more than $35000 a yr!  So its not just for the very low income.

Medical assistance has 2 programs... even if you dont qualify for medical assistance, your children will still be covered!! You just have to ask and think outside the box.  Medical assistance quidelines also have a higher income cap of around $25000 so again its not just for the very low income households. 

Single people can sometimes at least get food stamps.  Granted it may only be $40 a month sometimes but its $40 you didnt have before.  Even if you as a family dont qualify for CASH assistance you may still qualify for FOOD ASSISTANCE.

I hate it when people say grants arent out there or they wont help because they ARE and THEY DO!!!  It took a while for me to find them but I didnt have to pay any website to tell me and I didnt have to fill out a bunch of paperwork either.  Usually just a page and provide 3 months of proof of income!!

 Dont give up!  I hope this information helps someone.

First of all, I'm Ricardo from Austin, Texas. I have lived all of my life in this state. I'm orginally from Abilene, Texas but I've been living in Austin for more than 20 years. I enjoy life to the fullest and I try to do a lot of things. I'm never afaird of doing anything. One of the biggest things I enjoy doing is traveling. My recent adventure was going to the state of Colorado. Beautiful state. I would love to go back and keep exploring its beauty, and it's site it has to see.

The reason for my blog in Aidpage, is to help other with the knowledge that I have devopled from my life experiences.  I've gone up and down the latter and I've have had great credit and bad credit. I've have learned to deal with people, build a small at home business and coach people in being successful in their personal lives and business lives and learned to do a lot of research do make sure I make the right decision. 

I want to share that exeperience with others. Give them a different way to look at a problem to find a solution. Give people ideas, a direction and teach those who want to learn. This will help me in the long run because I'm offerring something of value and that is life experience. What it will also do for me is the more I can share, help. I will be rewarded three time more  with a better life. I myself, by sharing what I've learned. This will help me become a better person, develope more experience and help those who needed. 

In return life will give me all that I want by doing this.  

I'm looking for financial peace of mind or to grow more money and find different ways to get more money in my pocket. I'm looking of me to help other and have them achieve their goals. I looking to help all I can. But I guess I'm looking to get started first on what I need before I can help other. Or maybe it will work out where I do what I need to do at the same time help out.

Well, there are a lot of things that I want to do but first is first. I wouldn’t mind starting a foundation or grant or something that I can walk people through what I've learned. Help them and then go onto the next person. Lot's of time you know your problem but sometime you need that helping hand. Sometimes you need someone to point it out to you. I’ve learned that the hard way.

I guess I'm to give help, so help can come back to me. I willing to quite my job visit each relative and get him or her going and once I feel comfortable with where they are. I go to the next relative and so forth and so on.

But in order to do so, I want to make sure that I'm stable first. I keep reading the Aidpage and there is something in common that I’m finding. We all need some type of help but each of us have a different piece of the puzzle. By putting this community together, we should be able to fit those pieces together and get things going for all of us. In this country and in the lifetime, we have enough for each other to get and give. We just need to learn how to get it and where.

WHERE CAN I GET INFORMATION ABOUT GRANT MONEY FROM THE GOVERNMENT ONLINE WITHOUT HAVING TO BUY A GRANT KIT....THERE HAS TO BE A WEBSITE TO WHERE YOU CAN JUST APPLY OR JUST TO SEE IF YOU EVEN QUALIFY FOR ONE.....

I'm trying to start my own business and have had trial after trial keep me from doing so.  I'm trying to get my business up and running to be able to support my family.  My parents health is failing and their home is falling apart. They are in over their heads in debt and still trying to support my younger siblings of 8. My father is a diabetic and the medicine he needs cost more than they can afford.  They have taken care of me for 27 years and I would love to repay the favor to them.  I just need a little help getting started and getting two of my brothers in college, get the  family car working again, repair my family's home, and afford food to feed everyone.  If you know of a way that can help me I would greatly appreicate it.

I am a 34 year old black single female that has a bachelor's degree in English.  After several years of secondary education teaching, I have decided to return to school and pursue an accerlated nursing degree.  Because I have a bachelor's degree with student loans, I am no longer able to receive undergraduate loans.  The cost of an accelerated nursing program is around 70,000 - 75,000 dollars.  I am asking (no begging) for help to achieve my goal and dream of being a nurse.  This is not a joke.  I have completed one graduate course; yet, I know nursing is my true calling.
